The ACS re-assessment is for keeping engineers up to date with their gas certifications and the most recent gas safety legislation. Practicing gas engineers must renew their existing qualifications (by law) every 5 years in order to keep up their membership with the Gas Safe register. To register as a domestic gas installer, you must hold Core Domestic Gas Safety (CCN1) plus certification for the appliances you intend to work on. Universal Skills Group provides this service for both self-employed engineers and organisations who need to keep their workforce compliant.
The exact content of ACS Gas Re-assessment course depends on the gas operative.Ranging from 1-5 days, we cover Core Domestic Gas Safety (CCN1), CMA1 and MET1 qualifications in line with Gas Safe Register requirements. Other qualifications can also be covered, depending on the individual's existing qualifications and what has been booked:
Day 1 Content: Application & Refresher Training
Day 2-5: Assessments
ACS is a combined practical and theory assessment.
Depending on your qualifications the days may vary.
To attend this course, applicants must hold relevant qualifications obtained within the last 5 years.
Proof of this will need to be brought into the centre on the first day and checked with our assessors.
