The CMA1 / CMA3 with MET1 Gas Meter Exchange Re-Assessment Course is designed for qualified gas meter installers who need to renew their ACS gas metering certification and remain compliant with current UK gas safety regulations. This course includes refresher training and ACS re-assessment for either: • CMA3 (Core Domestic Metering) + MET1 (Domestic Gas Meters) or • CMA1 (Core Domestic & Non-Domestic Metering) + MET1 (Domestic Gas Meters) Gas engineers and meter installers must renew their qualifications regularly to continue working safely and legally within the gas and utilities industry. This course ensures your knowledge, skills, and compliance remain fully up to date.
This gas meter re-assessment course covers all essential areas required for safe andcompliant meter installation and exchange, including:
• Current gas safety legislation and industry standards
• Gas emergency procedures and safe working practices
• Principles of combustion
• Ventilation requirements for domestic and commercial gas systems
• Safe installation of pipework and fittings
• Installation, exchange, removal, and commissioning of gas meters (domestic and/ornon-domestic)
• Tightness testing and purging procedures
• Checking and adjusting meter regulators
• Identifying unsafe situations and issuing warning notices
• Correct use of emergency isolation controls and valves
• Compliance with flueing standards
• Safely re-establishing gas supply and relighting appliances or plant
