Benefits of this course

Be self sufficient

The course gives you the confidence to competently carry out Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection and Testing safely and effectively, giving you the means to sign off on your own installations as well as others’ work. If you plan to start your own business, having a range of qualifications can help build trust with potential clients and differentiate your services from competitors.

Earn more!

With more qualifications and specialised skills, you have the opportunity to command higher wages or charge premium rates for your services. This course also teaches you how to compile professionally detailed reports on the condition of electrical installation, and the safety of electrical installations, which is ideal for going for higher positions at work or becoming self-employed.

Apply for a scheme

Completing this course gains you the certification needed to become JIB Approved and makes it much easier to apply for a membership with one of the Industry Certification Schemes in the electrical industry. An ECS gold card (also known as a JIB gold card) is highly valued in the electrotechnical industry. And if you are looking to work unsupervised on construction sites, then you will need a gold card in order to do this.
