What are the key changes in the 18th Edition?

This course is designed to teach you how best to reference your book when faced with a multitude of working situations.  

The 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Amendment 2 is different to the 17th Edition and the original 18th Edition. Changes you’ll cover are:

  • Chapter 44: Protection against overvoltages 
  • Chapter 42: Protection against fire resulting from electrical installation
  • Section 753: Electrical embedded heating systems
  • Chapter 82: Energy efficiency (a brand new chapter)

The 18th Edition Wiring Regulations course concludes with an open book multiple-choice online exam. Candidates have two hours to answer all sixty questions; the exam result is immediately available.

There are no formal entry requirements but we do suggest the below experience for the 18th Edition course.

1-Day Course: Open to experienced electricians who are familiar with the new regulation.

2-Day 18th Edition Course: We recommend that candidates have a working knowledge of 17th Edition Wiring Regulations and are practicing electricians.

4-Day 18th Edition Course: Aimed at practicing engineers, with knowledge of 17th Edition, working in the electrical industry who would benefit from gaining the wiring regulations qualification. And who would prefer a more in depth course than the 2 day offering.
