SMART Metering Programmes.

We have trained over 2000 dual fuel gas and electricity engineers, helping some of the UK’s largest energy companies build their workforce and meet Smart Meter installation targets. We can help your business recruit and train new team members with bespoke training programmes and upgrade the skill sets and knowledge of existing employees with commercial up-skill courses. With Smart installation targets pushed back until 2024, we remain committed to helping providers equip their workforce with the skill set to meet the renewed targets.

A brief guide...

The Apprenticeship Levy & Funding.

If you’re an employer with a pay bill over £3 million each year, you must pay the apprenticeship levy each month.

The levy due by an employer is paid to HMRC through the PAYE process alongside payment of Income Tax and National Insurance contributions and is held in a 'digital fund'. Your digital funds can be used to fund the recruitment of apprentices into your workforce as well as support the skills development of your existing employees.

The use of the levy for funding apprenticeships commenced after 1st May 2017 - Funds you don’t use will expire 24 months after they enter your account. For example, funds entering your account in September 2019 will expire in September 2021.

For further information or to discuss how we can support you in making the most out of your Levy, please contact our dedicated Apprenticeship Team.
