A brief guide...

Domestic, Commercial & Industrial EV charge point installation course.

This qualification covers the specialised installation requirements of electric vehicle charging equipment in public, private, and commercial locations and includes exclusive guidance on electrical requirements. The assessments are made up of one multiple choice online exam and one practical assessment.

It is recommended that a candidate would have experience in the inspection and testing of electrical installation and to be familiar with the 18th edition wiring regulations.

A copy of IET Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation is required for the assessments. You can purchase from us if you do not have a copy of your own or one that you can bring with you.

This course is aimed at practicing electricians interested in understanding how to install the range of electric vehicle charging equipment and systems available. On completion of the qualification, candidates can join the OLEV/OZEV register of approved installers enabling them to claim the government grants available per installation.
