Dual Fuel Smart Meter Apprenticeship

Course Overview

Providor a supplier of smart metering services across the UK are looking for candidates to become Dual Fuel Smart Meter installers through an apprenticeship scheme.

Full training will be provided by Universal Skills Group in partnership with Providor and will enable candidates to become CMA1 & MET1 qualified in Gas & Electric plus Mocopa authorised.

Successful apprentices can earn £29,000 per annum plus additional benefits through employment with Providor.

Who is this apprenticeship for?

This training course is for new entrants looking to start a new career within the gas and power industry. Whether you're 18 and out of school or college or older and looking for a new career path this apprenticeship is designed to accommodate  individuals with various backgrounds and levels of experience. 

A couple of entry requirements...

It’s preferable that candidates hold a GCSE in both Maths and English graded A-C/9-4 (or equivalent) 
If you don’t hold these qualifications, we would still recommend applying, as we can provision additional training for those who need it.

Candidates can't already hold, or have previously held, a gas CMA or MET1 qualification or have a MOCOPA. If you hold any of these we would advise contacting us as we can look to enrol you on an upskilling course to dual fuel as an alternative.

Course Information

Employment Package

Apprentices will receive the following when undertaking a Dual Fuel Smart Metering course.

  • 19 weeks training fully paid for 
  • Employed by Providor from Day 1
  • Training in Wakefield with accommodation included as well as £125 per week meal allowance.
  • Company van, tools and uniform (issued on Day 1)

Salary Package

Your salary increases as you work!

Whilst training...
Earn £18,000 per annum

After week 19 of training...
Earn £23,500 per annum

Upon completion of the apprenticeship
Earn £29,000 per annum plus £2,000 bonus
