Intro :

Regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety regulations states that “every employer shall appoint one or more competent persons to assist him in undertaking the measures needed to comply with the regulations”. NEBOSH National Certificate will help satisfy this requirement and prepare delegates to effectively manage Health and Safety.

Aims :

This qualification is aimed at Managers, Supervisors and Staff from all types of organisations who need a broad understanding of health and safety issues.

Syllabus :

  • The Management of Health and Safety
  • Identification and control of workplace hazards
  • Fire prevention measures and actions in the event of a fire
  • Controlling health hazards
  • Effective communications
  • Investigation of accidents and other incidents and the maintenance of records
  • Compliance with general legislation
  • Exam technique and revision
  • Two written examinations
  • Practical assessment

Certification :

NEBOSH National General Certificate

Notes :

14 days comprising 12 training days at one day per week over 3 months plus one revision day and one day for the written exams. The practical exam is usually carried out at the delegates own workplace. In addition to the above we recommend that approx, 53 hours of private home study be carried out during the course.
