Intro :

The Manual Handling Regulations require every employer to make suitable and sufficient assessment of the risks to the health and safety of all employees from any manual handling activity which cannot be avoided. A record of the assessment must be maintained if five or more persons are employed.

Aims :

To provide candidates with an understanding of the requirements of the regulations and a working knowledge of correct lifting techniques. To provide instruction and practice is undertaking and recording manual handling risk assessments.

  • Awareness of ergonomics and the display screen equipment regulations
  • Practical Manual Handling Risk Assessment exercises
