Intro :

The appliance assessments are available for experienced gas engineers with current ACS CCN1 & CPA1 qualification. Optional training sessions are available at one day per appliance. Re-assessments are available for candidates with current or recently expired qualifications. Typical appliance modules include Gas Cooking Appliances, Gas Fires and Wall Heaters, Central Heating Boilers/Water Heaters, Gas Meters, CKR1, HTR1, CENWAT and MET1.

Aims :

To provide tuition and assessment for the ACS domestic natural gas appliance qualification(s) for gas engineers.

Syllabus :

  • Safety issues for gas appliances
  • Flueing standards and principles
  • Pipe Sizing and Ventilation Calculations
  • Unsafe situations

Certification :

ACS certificate and card on successful completion

Notes :

Initial Assessment: approximately half day per appliance. Optional initial training: one day per appliance, Re-assessment can be bundled with the CCN1 assessment. The appliance module assessments are only open to delegates with current CCN1 and CPA1 qualification. Re-assessments are only open to those with current or recently expired qualifications. Original qualification evidence, two passport sized photographs and NI No. required on the first day.
