About our 18th edition courses
City And Guilds 2382-18 Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671: 2018
18th edition courses enable practicing electricians and domestic installers to remain compliant with IET Wiring Regulations, necessary if you work on electrical installations in the UK.
These regulations are recognised by the British Standards Institute as a British Standard (BS7671) and must be adhered to when working on any wiring installation project. Failure to do so can to lead to potentially unsafe or inefficient installations.
Any individual looking to register with a competent persons scheme will also need to be qualified through an 18th edition course even if they have already completed a Level 3 NVQ.
Universal skills group courses take you through how you can meet the standards of the latest IET Wiring Regulations, including, essential aspects of the safety, selection and erection of electrical equipment inspection and testing. The courses themselves vary in length, with a 2 day course for those already familiar with 17th edition or a 4 and 5 day course for those who have a minimal understanding of IET wiring regulations.
